Project Accounting Coordinator
This role provides crucial accounting support to project managers, ensuring smooth financial operations from project initiation to closure. The position involves preparing accurate monthly billing packets, adhering to customer requirements, and updating project information in the ERP system.
Responsibilities
Prepare accurate monthly billing packets with supporting documents as per customer requirements.
Submit billing packets by due dates and upload them into relevant portals.
Maintain and update ERP systems with budgets, contracts, and billing information.
Manage compliance items including Project Insurance Certificates and UCC Filings.
Resolve customer billing disputes and compliance issues.
Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external customers.
Ensure safety and health of self and others by making attentive decisions.
Utilize LEAN concepts for efficient operations and processes.
Promote and model the company mission and vision.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in accounting and accounts receivable.
Experience with billing and invoicing.
Project management coordination skills.
Proficiency in Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent work experience in business administration, accounting, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in AR/Billing or Project/Finance Accounting.
Knowledge of the construction industry is a plus.
Work Environment
This position is based in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The team has a 'work hard, have fun' mentality and values a personable work environment. Normal working hours are from 7 AM to 4 PM. Initially, work will be in-office five days a week for the first 1-2 months, transitioning to a hybrid model of three days per week in-office after training. The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
