As an integral part of a collaborative surgical team, youll play a key role in supporting patients and families along their individualized care journey. Schedule:Day shift2–8 hour on-call shifts every 4 weeks30-minute response time required Key Qualifications:Current, active California RN licenseValid CPR and NRP certificationsMinimum of three years recent RN experience, with at least two years in a specialty area such as the Operating RoomProficiency completing OR-specific assessments (OR questionnaire submission required) Primary Responsibilities:Provide direct and indirect safe, age-specific, and culturally-appropriate perioperative nursing care to assigned patients and familiesComplete patient needs assessments, documenting findings and prioritizing care objectivesCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans and implement nursing interventionsEvaluate patient and family progress toward care goals, adapting plans as necessaryEducate patients and families by identifying barriers and employing adult-learning principlesAct as an advocate for patient rights and participation in care decisionsDelegate appropriate tasks to qualified healthcare team members and facilitate effective interdepartmental communicationMaintain thorough documentation in accordance with departmental standards and compliance requirementsEngage in patient care conferences and continuous quality improvement efforts This is a valuable opportunity to utilize your skills in a supportive yet challenging perioperative environment.
