Bachelors degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make an impact supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a dynamic school-based setting near Woonsocket, RI. Opportunities are available for both part-time and full-time contract positions for the upcoming academic year, starting August 26, 2026, through June 15, 2027 (following the school calendar). Caseload assignments will be determined based on school needs and discussed with candidates during the interview process. Preferred qualifications and experience:Active SLPA license in Rhode Island and compliance with all state credentialing requirementsPrevious experience providing speech and language support in a school environment is highly valuedStrong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, educators, and familiesAbility to implement activities and therapy plans as directed by supervising Speech-Language PathologistsAdaptability to diverse student needs and caseload variability What you’ll do:Deliver direct therapy services to students as guided by the supervising SLPAssist with assessment procedures and collect data on student progressCollaborate with school staff and participate in team meetings as neededPrepare and organize therapy materials and documentationSupport implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) under supervision This contract role offers flexible scheduling options to accommodate different availability and provides a rewarding opportunity to help students excel academically and communicatively.
