Bachelors degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. This contract opportunity is open for the upcoming school year, with both part-time and full-time schedules available to suit your needs. You’ll collaborate closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists, assisting in delivering high-quality speech and language services to students. Caseload details may vary and will be tailored to your strengths and school requirements, ensuring a rewarding and personalized work experience. Qualifications and SkillsCurrent licensure and credentials meeting all Rhode Island state requirements for SLPAs Experience in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred Strong communication skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families Ability to adapt to changing caseload needs and work as a collaborative team member Proficiency in organizing therapy materials and maintaining accurate documentation Positive, student-focused mindset and problem-solving abilities

Core ResponsibilitiesImplement therapy activities and interventions under the supervision of a certified SLP Support students in building communication skills, both individually and in group settings Monitor and document student progress as guided by supervising SLP Assist with preparation of learning materials and therapy resources Foster a welcoming, supportive environment for students with diverse backgrounds and needs Communicate professionally with educators and families regarding student progress
