Purchasing and Grants Administrative Assistant
Performs a variety of administrative duties to support the Office of Purchasing and Grants. This includes managing the purchasing process by acquiring vendor quotes and creating purchase orders to secure department funds. The position also involves assisting with all aspects of grant applications, from identifying new opportunities and preparing documentation to coordinating joint funding efforts with other local entities. The role requires using a computer to maintain accurate fiscal records, budgets, and all project and grant documentation.
High school diploma or GED with a background in accounting or a related field, plus at least two years of administrative assistant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered. Candidates must have mid-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel and a solid understanding of general office practices and computer accounting applications. A driver's License is required for this position.
