We are a growing firm, looking for a Maritime Attorney to join our team. Specifically, we are looking for someone who has 4+ years of experience.
Base pay range
$150,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr
Requirements
4+ years of experience in maritime law
Experience with nautical activities, vessel collisions, cargo disputes, and personal injury claims
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
Admitted to practice law in California
Responsibilities
Handling contracts and transactions related to the transportation of goods and passengers by sea, including disputes over cargo, vessel finance, and vessel ownership
Investigating and litigating cases involving vessel collisions, fires, explosions, and environmental damage from oil spills
Mediating and resolving disputes between parties involved in maritime operations, including insurers, ship owners, and seamen
Advising clients on compliance with domestic and international maritime laws, regulations, and conventions, including those set by the International Maritime Organization
Handling matters such as vessel finance, salvage operations, maritime liens, and maritime bankruptcies
The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 and $200,000. Pay may vary based on geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
