The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for full-time Information Technology (IT) Specialist (Systems Administration), GS-2210-11, to serve as a Network Control Center Systems Administrator, at Beale Air Force Base (AFB) in Marysville, California.

Salary $82,780- 107,620 based on experience.

In this role, you will serve as a Network Control Center (NCC) Systems Administrator, planning and coordinating the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems. We seek a senior Systems Administrator to support enterprise servers, virtual environments, and cybersecurity compliance. You'll manage system performance, patching, access controls, and vulnerability remediation across mission-critical infrastructure. Ideal for a hands-on IT professional who enjoys solving complex problems, thrives in secure operational environments, and wants to make a direct impact on systems that support real-world operations.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices for integrating information system components sufficient to plan, coordinate, and administer computer systems, and optimize system performance.

Knowledge of the latest advancements in technology to initiate corrective or preventative action to ensure optimum performance of the system.

Knowledge of performance tuning tools, database management, and project management methods sufficient to optimize systems performance, troubleshoot database performance problems, and perform a wide range of systems administration functions.

Knowledge of operating systems, associated devices, and the interoperability of systems sufficient to install, upgrade, troubleshoot, test and maintain those systems; to optimize the functionality and performance of systems; and to ensure the availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliability of servers.

Ability to apply methods and practices for troubleshooting, recovering, adjusting, modifying, and improving systems to solve complex problems and provide support that minimizes interruptions in service to customers.

This position is designated as a key position IA W AFI 36-507. Duties of this position are essential to the accomplishment of wartime/contingency operations. Incumbents of key positions must be removed from their military recall status if alternative for filling of the position during an emergency are not available.
