Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail?oriented Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations across multiple business entities. This role contributes to the full month?end close process, maintains accurate financial records, and ensures compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable working in a fast?paced environment.
Responsibilities
Support the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting across multiple entities
Maintain fixed asset records and prepare related monthly entries
Handle daily treasury functions such as payments, transfers, and bank administration
Perform monthly cash reconciliations, forecasting, and intercompany transactions
Prepare and reconcile intercompany and third?party invoices
Process employee expense reimbursements and record related entries
Analyze monthly financial results and ensure reports comply with GAAP
Assist with audit requests, year?end schedules, and reporting packages
Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial data for close
Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency
Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA beneficial
5–7 years of progressive accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas)
Solid analytical and problem?solving abilities
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Experience with accounting software; cloud?based systems a plus
Adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable in a fast?paced environment
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
