Chief Maintenance Engineer
We are seeking a Chief Engineer with strong problem‑solving skills to lead the hotel’s engineering department, oversee maintenance operations for all equipment and systems, and drive a proactive maintenance culture focused on guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the hotel's engineering department, overseeing maintenance operations for all equipment and systems.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and procedures to optimize equipment lifespans and minimize disruptions.
Direct and supervise maintenance technicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and deadlines.
Manage budget allocations for maintenance supplies, equipment purchases, and contractor services.
Evaluate and prioritize maintenance requests, balancing guest needs with resource efficiency and long‑term sustainability.
Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities and equipment, identifying potential risks and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Prepare reports and present recommendations to management regarding maintenance operations, budget needs, and potential improvements.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in hotel maintenance, general building or property maintenance, or engineering leadership roles.
Strong leadership and communication skills to inspire, delegate tasks, and resolve conflict effectively.
Extensive knowledge of hotel equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical components.
Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Budgeting and financial management skills to ensure efficient resource allocation and project completion within budget.
Proficiency in computer skills and maintenance management software.
Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and team members.
Compensation/Pay and Benefits
$53,000 – $55,000
