HRIS and Payroll Administrator
Job Summary
A Financial Services company in downtown Kansas City is seeking a detail-oriented HRIS and Payroll Administrator responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the ADP HRIS platform, accurate and timely weekly payroll processing, data integrity, system efficiency, and regulatory compliance. This individual will also partner with HR, Finance, and IT on reporting, audits, and system improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
HRIS Administration (ADP)
Manage and maintain ADP system, including Workforce Now or related modules
Ensure accuracy and integrity of employee data within ADP
Configure system settings, workflows, and business rules
Manage user access, security roles, and permissions
Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with ADP support
Support system upgrades, testing, and feature implementations
Payroll Processing
Process weekly payroll in ADP accurately and on schedule
Review and validate timesheets, earnings, deductions, taxes, and direct deposits
Audit payroll data and resolve discrepancies before finalization
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Reconcile payroll reports and coordinate with Finance on general ledger postings
Manage garnishments, benefits deductions, and tax filings in ADP
Reporting and Analytics
Generate standard and ad hoc reports using ADP reporting tools
Analyze HR and payroll data to support decision-making
Maintain dashboards and respond to data requests
Compliance and Auditing
Ensure HRIS and payroll processes align with company policies and legal requirements
Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation
Maintain up-to-date process documentation and procedures
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to enhance ADP system utilization and workflows
Recommend and implement automation and efficiency improvements
Collaborate on HRIS and payroll-related projects
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field (or work experience equivalent)
35 years of experience with ADP (Workforce Now or similar) and payroll processing
Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax compliance, and wage laws
Experience with ADP modules such as Payroll, Time and Attendance, and Benefits preferred
Proficiency in Excel, including data analysis and reporting
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
