Key Responsibilities
The
Director of Nursing (DON)
will oversee all nursing operations, including:
Leading and supporting nursing staff across all shifts
Ensuring quality resident care and regulatory compliance
Managing staffing, scheduling, and clinical performance
Driving survey readiness and quality improvement initiatives
Partnering closely with the Administrator and department heads
Building a positive culture focused on accountability and compassion
Qualifications
Current RN license in Connecticut
Prior leadership experience in long-term care nursing required
Previous experience as a
Director of Nursing (DON)
strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of state/federal regulations
Proven leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills
Passion for resident-centered care
