Job Description
Duties to include:
Review weekly provider schedules to maximize utilization of provider availability for all team members, checking open slot reports daily and directing the team where to focus as needed.
Monitor biopsy logs for accuracy, ensuring timely receipt of results and the treatment of positive lesions within 4‑6 weeks of confirmed diagnosis.
Initiate skin cancer tracking tool; phone contact with patient; send letters in a timely manner.
Send precertification and prior authorization requests promptly.
Schedule all Mohs and cancer treatment surgeries.
Maintain OSHA compliance.
Perform patient call backs on the same day of the call.
Assist physicians and mid‑level providers with patient care.
Document in the medical record as appropriate.
Contact patients via phone or mail to confirm upcoming surgeries; ensure all patient paperwork is completed PRIOR to the surgery.
Develop good working relationships with the location manager and regional supervisor.
Provide recommendations in disciplinary matters and career‑pathing.
Resolve issues with team members regarding attendance, performance, and behavior; involve management when necessary.
Conduct team meetings periodically, communicating company updates on a timely basis; communicate one‑on‑one with management when needed.
Coach, develop, and train schedulers, focusing on key performance metrics and achieving results within a team environment, exceeding patient expectations and company goals.
Requirements
At least one year of dermatology experience.
MA certificate of completion or diploma from a medical vocational program.
RN, LPN degree or diploma with a current active license or certification.
Current CPR certification.
Knowledge of vital signs.
Working knowledge of dermatologic surgery and sterile technique.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Computer literacy.
