Position Overview
The Manager, Corporate Communications and Government Affairs role plays a critical part in shaping how we communicate with employees, external stakeholders, and policymakers. The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer, thoughtful communicator, and trusted partner who can translate complex business, operational, and regulatory matters into clear, professional messaging.
Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this position will work closely with executive leadership, Human Resources, Operations, and external stakeholders to ensure communications are accurate, timely, and aligned with company priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Internal Employee Communications
Develop and execute internal communication strategies that inform and engage employees across multiple locations.
Draft leadership communications including:
Company announcements
Organizational updates
Policy communications
Town hall messaging
Employee engagement communications
Support executive communications including talking points, presentations, and leadership messaging.
Maintain and manage internal communication channels such as newsletters, employee updates, and digital platforms.
Assist with crisis and urgent communications as needed.
External & Social Media Communications
Manage corporate social media presence, including content development and publishing across designated platforms.
Create professional content that highlights company milestones, employee achievements, and community engagement.
Ensure brand consistency and alignment with company messaging.
Support development of press releases and external communications when required.
Monitor communication effectiveness and engagement metrics.
Government Affairs & Public Policy Support
Support government relations and public affairs initiatives.
Assist in preparing briefing materials, talking points, and stakeholder communications for meetings with government officials and regulatory agencies.
Coordinate materials and logistics related to legislative and regulatory engagement.
Track relevant policy and regulatory developments affecting the organization.
Support advocacy and stakeholder engagement efforts as directed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
5+ years of experience in corporate communications, public affairs, government relations, or a related role
Experience with communication and presentation tools (PowerPoint, Canva, or similar) required
Experience managing professional social media platforms required
Experience in manufacturing, industrial, logistics, or regulated industries preferred
Professional presence and ability to support executive-level communications
