PHARMACY TECHNICIAN | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS: The Pharmacy Technician will work in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join a central fill pharmacy team. This role focuses entirely on high-volume automation, "pick-pack-ship" operations, and pharmacy production. There is no patient interaction, no phone answering, and no insurance processing involved. This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates PHARMACY TECHNICIAN | RESPONSIBILITIES: Fulfillment: Accurately fill prescription vials with tablets and capsules based on computer-generated orders. Automation & Replenishment: Replenish automated dispensing cells; open large quantities of stock and use handheld scanners to track barcodes, lot numbers, and expiration dates. Specialty Handling: Prepare "cold chain" and specialty prescriptions that require specific temperature-controlled packing and handling. Inventory Control: Conduct weekly cycle counts and audits of cell inventory to ensure accuracy between primary and secondary bin locations. Quality Assurance: Maintain a high level of focus to prevent cross-contamination and ensure all products meet safety standards. Compliance: Strictly adhere to federal and state HIPAA laws and standard pharmacy operating procedures. PHARMACY TECHNICIAN | REQUIREMENTS: Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable) Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days. Licensure: Active Washington State Pharmacy Technician License is required. Certification: National certification (PTCB or ExCPT) is required. Basic mathematical reasoning for counting/calculating units and strong computer literacy for navigating fulfillment software. Physical Demands: Ability to work onsite 5 days a week and stand/walk for the duration of the shift in a production environment.
