Job Title:
ATS Clerk – (Administrative Technology Specialist) – Job Code 430
Location:
Schools FLSA Status – Non-Exempt
Reports to Principal
Summary and relationship to the curriculum:
All classified positions strengthen the delivery of instruction to support the school district’s mission statement. The ATS performs data entry at the school level.
Duties and Responsibilities
Knowledgeable regarding current district policies on registering students.
Enters all enrollments and withdrawals to maintain the current student information system.
Responsible for maintaining current documentation, data entry, and tracking of student scheduling.
Ensures the appropriate documents are scanned into the student information system.
Produces progress reports and report cards.
Maintains attendance records for students.
Responsible for FTE reports and documentation.
Responsible for data entry, data corrections, and tracking of approved out of zone students.
Identifies student school’s zone based on board policy.
Responds to questions regarding the use of the student information system.
Gathers and prepares Impact Aid information as required.
Generates reports as needed for student data.
Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Basic keyboarding; some bookkeeping and telephone experience desirable; one year related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificate or License Required:
Must complete in‑house administrative technology specialist training.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend job specific technical information, simple instructions, short correspondence, memos and position specific manuals; write correspondence and reports; articulate and present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals; conduct position related data analysis; compute rate, ratio, and percent; draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Facilitate the problem‑solving processes; synthesize workable options from given facts and assist in the development of workable solutions.
Technical Ability:
Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office and other job specified technologies.
Customer Service Skills:
Interact effectively with colleagues, administrators, teachers, staff members, students using tactful yet effective skills; collaborate well with others; service‑oriented and actively seek ways to assist others.
Professional Requirements:
Must serve as a role model to students. Appropriate dress and grooming consistent with established standards required.
Physical Demands:
The employee is regularly required to walk, stand, lift; occasionally must crouch or kneel; must be able to exert or lift up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment:
Frequent travel involves exposure to traffic and outdoor elements. Travel to home sites, school sites, and other locations is required. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Confidential Data Exposure:
The nature of this position entails exposure to confidential data. Confidentiality must be maintained regarding financial and personal information.
Additional Requirement:
Must be at work on time; meet attendance standards; conduct activities safely; be reliable, responsible, and dependable in fulfilling job duties.
