Parts Clerk
Position Summary
The Parts Clerk is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing repair parts, supplies, and equipment while maintaining accurate inventory levels. This role supports maintenance operations through effective inventory management, parts identification, and coordination with MRO and CMMS teams.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, issue, and track repair parts, supplies, and equipment
Identify and assemble parts and subassemblies using technical manuals and publications
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels (physical counts and system records such as JDE)
Verify purchase orders against shipping documents to ensure accuracy and completeness
Prepare and analyze inventory reports; investigate and resolve discrepancies
Research catalogs, manuals, and parts lists to support technical documentation and editing
Inspect incoming parts and materials to ensure quality and serviceability
Execute inventory processes including FIFO and lay-up procedures
Review work orders and preventive maintenance (PM) schedules to prepare parts kits
Support and facilitate cycle counts; update records upon approval
Collaborate with MRO and/or CMMS Coordinator to address inventory or system issues
Promote workplace safety and contribute to a positive team environment
Perform additional duties as assigned
