Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at William Penn Care Center. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facility, ensuring that our residents live in a safe and comfortable environment. If you have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for providing exceptional care, we would love to hear from you!
Responsibilities
Clean rooms, dining rooms, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, and offices
Sort, count, wash, weigh, fold, mark, carry, and deliver linens and clothing
Clean rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture using various cleaning methods
Empty and wash waste baskets, and transport trash/waste to appropriate disposal areas
Maintain a spirit of cooperation with co-workers and supervisors to provide continuity of services to residents
Report all hazardous conditions, hazardous equipment, and accidents/incidents to the Director of Environmental Services
Follow established infection control and universal precautions practices when performing housekeeping/laundry procedures
Dispose of refuse daily in accordance with established sanitation procedures
Keep work areas free of hazardous objects and equipment
Clean and store housekeeping and laundry equipment at the end of the shift
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
Some housekeeping/laundry experience is preferred
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Must be a supportive team member and able to function independently
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday and function with flexibility
Must be willing to perform tasks that may involve exposure to blood and/or body fluids
Must be willing to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations
