Job Title: Grants Contracts Coordinator 2 (26141107)
The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) is seeking a Grants Contracts Coordinator 2 to serve under the Fiscal Bureau Chief. This role ensures the Division and its contracted providers comply with contract requirements and coordinates all Division contracting activities.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee all Division contracting, including drafting and negotiating contracts with program staff.
Supervise development of Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
Act as primary contact for contracted providers and monitor contract compliance.
Identify and resolve non‑compliance issues, authorize contract payments, and implement sanctions when necessary.
Utilize systems to maintain Division contracts and ensure adherence to State and Agency procurement rules and regulations.

Qualifications
Extensive knowledge of government accounting, procurement, and contracting principles.
In‑depth understanding of state procurement, risk management, and contracting laws and procedures.
Strong intellectual analysis and evaluation skills for administrative and program management responsibilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail, time management, and organizational abilities.
Ability to build positive working relationships with employees, contractors, and other agencies.
Proficient use of personal computer and office applications (spreadsheets, word processing, databases, email, internet).
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
Minimum of two years of job‑related experience in finance, auditing, or accounting.
Preferred experience with contract management, procurement, or related high‑level administrative support.
Other combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis.
