Position Overview
The Talent Acquisition Intern supports full-cycle recruitment efforts across DrFirst with a strong focus on candidate sourcing, resume review, and talent pipeline development. This role offers hands‑on experience in the recruiting lifecycle at a mission‑driven healthcare technology company and contributes directly to shaping how DrFirst attracts talent in an AI‑first era.
DrFirst uses Claude as our enterprise AI platform. You will work with Claude every day to source candidates, draft outreach, summarize resumes, and build automation workflows. Prior Claude experience is a strong plus, and comfort with any major generative AI tool is required.
You will partner closely with an experienced recruiter to source passive candidates, evaluate incoming applications, coordinate interviews, and build automation workflows that make the talent acquisition function faster and smarter. This is a highly visible role where your work will touch hiring across engineering, product, operations, sales, and clinical functions.

What you will work on
AI‑Powered Sourcing and Outreach
Use LinkedIn Recruiter, Handshake, GitHub, and other platforms to identify qualified passive candidates for open roles across engineering, operations, product, and clinical teams
Apply Claude to draft Boolean search strings, personalize outreach messages at scale, and summarize candidate profiles
Draft compelling, personalized outreach messages that reflect DrFirst's brand and mission
Track sourcing metrics including response rates, open rates, and pipeline conversion, then recommend improvements based on the data
Maintain organized candidate pipelines in the applicant tracking system
Resume Screening and Candidate Evaluation
Review incoming applications for open positions across all departments
Evaluate candidates against job requirements and prepare concise candidate summaries for hiring managers
Identify red flags, standout qualities, and resume patterns worth flagging for deeper review
Experiment with AI‑assisted screening approaches to accelerate high‑quality shortlisting while maintaining fairness and accuracy
Interview Coordination and Candidate Experience
Schedule phone screens, virtual interviews, and follow‑ups across multiple hiring manager calendars
Ensure candidates receive timely, clear communication at every stage of the process
Support interview logistics including sending prep materials and collecting post‑interview feedback
Automation and Process Improvement Projects
Lead or co‑lead a capstone project focused on Claude‑powered recruiting workflows, automation, or process optimization within the talent acquisition function
Build or refine a Claude prompt library for common recruiting tasks including JD drafting, outreach personalization, and interview question generation
Research and evaluate new applicant tracking system features, sourcing tools, and AI platforms
Contribute to optimizing job descriptions, refining screening rubrics, and documenting standard operating procedures
Qualifications
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, Communications, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Rising junior, rising senior, or recent graduate eligible for a summer 2026 internship
Genuine interest in people and the recruiting craft, regardless of major. Technical majors are welcome if you are a true people person who gets energy from conversation, relationship building, and helping others succeed
Active, hands‑on use of generative AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar) for school, work, or personal projects. Prior Claude experience is strongly preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail‑oriented, highly organized, and eager to learn in a fast‑paced environment
Comfortable with technology and productivity tools including LinkedIn, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office
Demonstrated passion for recruitment, people operations, or healthcare technology
Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements
Preferred
Previous HR, recruiting, or talent acquisition exposure through internship, work‑study, student organization leadership, or relevant coursework
Hands‑on experience with Claude including prompt iteration, projects, or artifacts
Prior experience with an applicant tracking system (Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS, Workday, or similar)
Experience building automations, writing advanced AI prompts, or creating workflows in no‑code tools (Zapier, Make, Notion, etc.)
Coursework in industrial‑organizational psychology, data analytics, organizational behavior, or human‑computer interaction
Basic familiarity with Boolean search logic
