Primary Purpose
Assist the Accountability and School Improvement team with data maintenance, collection, analysis, uploads, interpretation, and reporting to various stakeholders for accountability, assessment, and school improvement related data.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
Texas Educator Certificate required
At least 3 years’ teaching experience preferred
At least 1 year of leadership experience (campus or district leadership team) preferred
At least 2 years’ experience providing professional development preferred
Experience working with district’s student information system preferred
Experience analyzing, processing, and reporting complex data sets preferred

Major Responsibilities and Duties
Collaborate within and across ECISD departments in the coordination of performance reporting data including with accountability and assessment results interpretation at the direction of the Director of Assessment.
Provide raw assessment data as needed to facilitate support for the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) and Principal Incentive Allotment (PIA) programs in ECISD.
Assist with the distribution of test results to campus personnel, parents, and administrative departments.
Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents required including maintaining all files provided annually in TEAL and through Texas Assessment (Cambium, secure folder, initial, preliminary, and final assessment results files, etc.).
Input new student information and update student enrollment in the Test Information Distribution Engine (TIDE), including monitoring the arrival of new students and the withdrawal of current students to ensure all students are registered in TIDE with the support of campus staff.
Provide data files to relevant district data warehouses and appropriate teams (OnData Suite, Eduphoria, Testhound, Information Systems).
Plan, support, and provide professional learning for campus and district leaders on accountability systems, data interpretation, and strategic improvement planning.
Perform a variety of duties associated with the acquisition, management, analysis, and reporting of educational data for departments and schools including reports for assessment, accountability, and school improvement.
Provide technical support to others in obtaining, understanding, and utilizing data; respond to data requests.
Design data reports to assist district and school leaders with strategic use of data and decision‑making including creating user‑friendly reports to assist stakeholders in data‑driven decision‑making.
Ensure the validity of all data presented to staff or to the Texas Education Agency, including developing data validation protocols, verifying and validating accountability related PEIMS indicators, and collaborating with Information Systems teams.
Attend and lead as appropriate, training sessions and site meetings related to data literacy and in alignment with department and division mission, vision, and priorities.
Provide reports to the Executive Director of Accountability & School Improvement and various departments for statistical and predictive data analysis.
Facilitate strategic data use across the organization by creating and disseminating timely data.
Collaborate with the Director of Assessment, Director of Accountability, and/or Executive Director of Accountability as well as within and across district teams to support the validation, monitoring, and reporting of district and campus performance indicators including assessment results, CCMR, graduation rates, attendance, and other state and federal accountability measures.
Prepare executive summaries, leadership reports, and data presentations for district and campus administrators to support strategic planning, board reporting, continuous improvement efforts, and data‑driven decision‑making across the organization.
Maintain annual accountability and performance reporting calendars, documentation, and historic data files to ensure timely completion of required state submissions, data validations, corrections, and dissemination of reports to district leaders, campuses, and relevant stakeholders.
Remain knowledgeable about accountability, assessment, and school improvement policies impacting campuses, various district teams, and district departments (Academics, Emerging Bilingual, Special Education, and other student populations).
Perform duties in a professional, ethical, and responsible manner as defined in the TEA code of ethics for educators and ECISD Employee Handbook including maintaining security and ethical use of student data in accordance with FERPA.
Attend necessary regional and state assessment and accountability workshops, meetings, and conferences including TEA Webinars (student assessment, performance reporting, etc.), Texas Statewide Network of Assessment Professionals (TSNAP), Lead4Ward, Accountability Connect Texas School Alliance, and/or Texas Assessment Conference, etc.
Other duties as assigned in alignment with district, division, and/or department mission, vision, and priorities.
Working Conditions
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Maintain emotional control under stress. This role requires prolonged sitting, continuous computer use, prolonged visual acuity/screen time, and frequent repetitive hand motions for typing and data manipulation. The employee must be able to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 15-20 pounds of standard office or training equipment. Frequent districtwide and occasional statewide travel; may be required to work occasional prolonged or irregular hours, including after hours and weekends.
