REQ-2026-8331Supports the administration of benefit programs and monitors insurance enrollment. Provides support to employees enrolled in programs who have issues, questions, or concerns regarding benefits.## **MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:**## ## **Administers and monitors benefits insurance enrollment.*** ## Verifies, maintains, processes, inputs and submits health and welfare enrollments, terminations, status changes, and beneficiary records into Excel, Access, HRIS software, and vendor databases; maintains employee files in OnBase.* ## Processes Retirement, LTD, Life, and AD&D death claims.* ## Process employee life events, COBRA administration, and employee tuition assistance program.* ## Ensure employee, youth, and dependent eligibility.* ## Calculates, reconciles, inputs, submits, and pays monthly and annual billing statements from carriers and vendors.* ## Ensure collection of correct premium amounts from employees.* ## Meets with consultants, carriers and vendors regarding questions, issues, concerns, changes and preparation for annual reviews.* ## Completes monthly system reports and reviews to update information as needed.* ## Maintains online benefits enrollment and file submission to vendor ensuring any errors are resolved with the vendor or internal departments as needed.* ## Develops and assists with conducting benefit orientation for new employees.* ## Acts as administrator for the health/welfare and retirement plans for all employees. Assists in reviews of above benefit documents for accuracy.* ## Supports yearly open enrollment.* ## Interpret, research and answer initial requests and questions by mail, phone, or in person for employees, vendors and retirement plans in a timely manner. May require tracking and follow-up.* ## Ensures affordable Care Act (ACA), HIPAA, and Medicare Part D Compliance.* ## Monitors database for benefit status changes, terminations, and rehires.* ## Monitors and maintains benefit beneficiary data, dependent information, and supporting documentation.* ## Assists with coordination of wellness events and activities as applicable.* ## Prepares and develops the on-going communication strategies and design of educational materials regarding benefits## ## **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:*** ## Intermediate knowledge of benefits programs, procedures, and regulations.* ## Excellent communication and writing skills.* ## Knowledge of Microsoft Office and HR systems.* ## Knowledge of regulations regarding Flex, HIPAA and Retirement Plans.* ## Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.* ## Detail oriented and able to work with high level of confidentiality.## ## **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:*** ## Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.* ## Minimum of 2 years benefits experience or 3 years office experience, to include creating and implementing health management programs and working with health and welfare programs, insurance, accounting, data processing, or employee benefits procedures required.* ## Other Duties: This job description incorporates the essential functions and duties required for this position. However, other duties may be required and assigned at times and as determined by a supervisor in order to meet the needs of the organization.* ## Serves as a role model in carrying out activities and behaviors that reflect the values and principles of the Boys Town mission.## ## **PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, EQUIPMENT USAGE, WORK ENVIRONMENT:*** ## Position is relatively sedentary in a normal office administrative environment involving minimum exposure to physical risks.
