Gifted and Talented Education Facilitator (Job ID: 5607)

Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a full‑time teacher of the gifted and talented, beginning with the 2026-27 school year at Ray E. Kilmer Elementary School. Must have, or be eligible to receive, a Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsement. Must be a strong team player, responsible for coordinating all aspects of differentiated programming to meet the needs of students who demonstrate obvious potential for in‑depth advanced academic work. Must have a solid foundation in gifted education, differentiated instruction, and collaboration with staff. A Master’s degree in G/T or curriculum & instruction is preferred. The successful candidate will have higher‑order thinking skills and be familiar with the needs of gifted students. The start date for new teachers in the District is July 31, 2026.

Responsibilities

Coordinate all aspects of differentiated programming for gifted students.

Provide instruction in advanced academic work.

Collaborate with staff on gifted education strategies.

Support students’ higher order thinking development.

Qualifications

Eligible for or currently holding a Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsement.

Strong teamwork skills.

Solid foundation in gifted education and differentiated instruction.

Master’s degree in G/T or curriculum & instruction preferred.

Experience with gifted student needs.

Compensation & Benefits
Pay range: $44,550–$75,279, with placement determined by the Department of Human Resources. Full‑time employees receive health insurance (medical, dental, vision, life) and may choose additional plans. All employees are eligible for the Colorado Public Employees Retirement Account (PERA). Paid leave is accrued in accordance with District policies and Colorado law.
