ROLL UP OPERATOR - 3rd (10:45P-7A)

Responsibilities
Keep area clean at all times
Quality minded
Wrap finished rolls of padding in plastic
There are 2 wrappers per Card Line. After the rolls are wrapped they are picked up and put in buggies by hand. Each card line will produce approximately 20,000 lbs of 1st quality padding per shift
Monitor the quality of the product coming off the machine
Weigh the padding and give the information to the Roll‑up Operator
Break down the machine when there is a problem such as jammed rollers, broken chains, etc.
Work with Maintenance personnel on machine breakdowns and help troubleshoot
Help with entire clean up of the line
Report any deficiencies in safety, quality, or production to the Card Line Operator
Remove scrap from the roll‑up and put into cages
Drive lift truck to replace full buggies and move 12‑foot rolls
Qualifications
Basic math skills: addition, subtraction
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Maintain attendance in accordance with company and department guidelines
Previous manufacturing experience preferred
Ability to multitask
Minimum age 18
Lift up to 100 lbs continuously during an 8‑hour shift
Ability to bend, crouch, and stoop continuously
Work in non‑climate controlled facilities
Work in noisy, high‑traffic production environment
