
Plant I&E Technician I

The Plant I&E Tech I is responsible for performing calibrations to plant equipment and controls/instrumentation to provide efficient day-to-day operations of the plant. This position must continually strive to maintain the highest standards for safety, excellence, and professionalism, while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of Canes Midstream.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform and document preventative maintenance to plant equipment
Troubleshoot communication /instrumentation failures and make necessary repairs
Calibrate plant instrumentation on a regular basis
Perform documentation for critical equipment calibrations
Assist in major Electrical equipment repairs and plant shutdowns
Work with contractors in the plant to perform large maintenance projects
Obtain work permits and fill out JSAs
Source and order parts for equipment/instrumentation
Work on an On-Call rotation and work overtime as needed
Adhere to Canes Policies and Procedures as well as applicable industry standards and practices
Perform any other related duties as requested or assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability(ies) required.
Solid understanding of gas flow characteristics
Ability to use testing equipment including multimeters, amp meters, HART communicators, Vibration analyzers, pressure calibration equipment
Basic understanding of PLCs and how they control end devices.
Ability to troubleshoot analog valve positioners, analog transmitters, pressure switches, and level switches.
Strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance applicable to the Oil & Gas Industry
Track record of dependability and commitment to the role, team, and company
Availability for callouts 24 hours a day on a rotating schedule
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and MS Office software
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED equivalent is required
Preferred at least 1 year instrumentation calibration/troubleshooting/replacement experienc
Preferred minimum 1 year oil and gas experience
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and maintain insurability with corporate insurance company.
