In order to ensure your application is complete, you must complete the following:## Job Title:Biomedical Electronics Tech## Department:University Hospital | BioMedical Clinical Engineering**Job Description**Under general supervision or direct supervision by the Service Manager or Director, the Biomedical Electronics Technician (BMET) coordinates with clinicians the planning, design, development, implementation, functionality and evaluation of free standing and integrated patient care equipment and systems that support and enhance clinical practice and diagnostic, therapeutic and monitoring requirements for improved patient outcomes. The BMET acts as a resource with clinical knowledge and/or technical/computer expertise to coordinate and provide support for all new and current applications, including hardware and software upgrades applicable to all patient care equipment and systems. The BMET assists in the analysis, design, testing and implementation of patient care equipment/ systems and solutions. Conducts assessments of the clinical environment and identifies opportunities for equipment/system implementations, and may act as a facilitator for those changes in the clinical environment.
