Responsibilities
This position is for a Portuguese DLI second grade teacher. Fluency in the Portuguese language is
mandatory ! The candidate will be working with one class in the morning and the other class in the afternoon each day. The candidate will be responsible for working with an English teacher. Other responsibilities include classroom management, instruction of assigned curriculum, working with a team of teachers weekly, and good communication skills.
Qualifications
All applicants must have a Professional Educator License awarded by the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) or apply for an Associate Educator License (AEL) to be eligible to apply to Jordan School District and participate in our Alternate Pathway to Professional Educator Licensing (APPEL) Program when hired.
Proof of an AEL is required before you will be added to the candidate pool. Follow this link for information on how to apply for an AEL.
Proof of enrollment in a teacher certification program at a local university will also be accepted in lieu of an AEL.
