Overview
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Department Administrator for the School of Nursing. The position reports to the Senior Business Manager in the Finance Department and has a dotted line to the Personnel Manager in the Office of Faculty and Staff Resources (HR).

Key Responsibilities

Provide oversight and support for faculty in the production and review process for expense‑related requests, including travel booking, travel advances, check requests, purchase requisitions, etc., ensuring proper accounting information and supporting documentation for submission.

Follow up on the completion of and resolve any outstanding issues with appropriate parties related to travel and purchases.

Review and screen travel approval forms and P‑Card requests before approval by the Senior Business Manager and/or Chief Financial Officer.

Assist the Personnel Manager with disseminating faculty information and collaborating with Human Resources on matters pertaining to faculty status, benefits, compensation, and related policies and procedures.

Coordinate and facilitate faculty appointments, promotions, reappointments, administrative appointments, separations, salary adjustments, and other assignments, including processing the hires of adjuncts, per diems, and lecturers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience in finance/management, human resources, or a relevant field.

At least two years of experience with faculty administration, data and record management, travel expense and management, and processing faculty appointments, reappointments, promotions, and other faculty‑related actions.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using Canvas, Sakai, ORACLE, Tableau, Concur Travel and Expense, ROCS, and FIS.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Access, and other database applications.

Salary
Minimum salary: $68,278.48. Mid‑range salary: $84,393.98. Maximum salary: $100,509.48. Final salary may be determined by qualifications, experience, and departmental funds.

Additional Information
