Patient Experience Specialist
Overview : At Chatham Oral Surgery, the Patient Experience Specialist will interact with our valuable patients by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints. You will connect with patients in a very short time frame, hear them, and ensure they walk away from the phone call satisfied that they have the best information possible. The role requires efficient, knowledgeable team members who truly care for the people they interact with daily.
Supervisory Responsibilities
None
Duties & Responsibilities
Interact with patients via telephone, text, email, online chat, or in person to provide support and information on services, doctors, scheduling, and billing.
Collect information and schedule new and existing patient appointments for oral surgery and consultations while answering questions about upcoming post‑op visits.
Field patient questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the specialist’s knowledge, forward to the assigned specialist or other appropriate team members.
Ensure that appropriate actions are taken to resolve patient problems and concerns.
Maintain patient accounts and records of patient interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments using patient information systems.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities
Excellent communication skills including active listening.
Service‑oriented and able to resolve patient grievances.
Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
Strong relationship building skills.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Patient service experience required.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
