
Sr Transportation Analyst

Your Role at Baxter
As a Transportation Sr Analyst you will be responsible for financial, operational and system analysis within the Logistics department. You will be the point of contact for validating and approving all departmental invoices, entering purchase requisitions as well as tracking and reporting on department spend. You will build tools to support analytics and understand cost to serve. A key component of this role is to analyze both operational and financial performance within the Logistics area and recommend improvements and proactively implement solutions designed to maximize asset utilization, drive costs out of the warehousing and transportation network, and efficiently ensure customer service expectations are consistently attained.
What you’ll be doing
3PL Management and Reporting
Work directly with 3PL to review KPIs and identify gaps with aligned corrective actions
Perform operational activities including audit of freight bills, preparing and negotiating claims, and selecting and recommending carriers
Lead and participate in Monthly meetings where KPIs and project action plans are reviewed
Lead and support QBRs with 3PL
Support Operational Excellence/continuous improvement initiatives
Work with 3PL to ensure spend is approved and tracked
Financial, warehousing and transportation operations
Work with finance team to support preparation for the monthly financial and operational reviews with the 3PL provider
Compile and present monthly logistics dashboard including financial and service metrics as specified
Identify and implement various VIPs designed to optimize costs across the distribution and warehousing network, including off‑schedule and expedite delivery mitigation
Serve as a SME on assigned projects and tasks
Support the commercial team in preparing customer RFP responses relating to logistics/distribution
Provide total logistics support as required for all Baxter transportation and warehousing, including frozen, chilled and ambient product
Coverage for Logistics Analysts as required
What you’ll bring
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
3+ years experience in transportation, distribution or warehousing
Logistics management operational expertise
Intermediate to expert level of MS Excel
Basic understanding of data import, manipulation and file/report development
Detailed understanding of domestic and international logistics and transportation
Strong process improvement and development skills
Systems experience including routing, load planning and scheduling
Strong ERP understanding as it relates to TMS, WMS and transportation and logistics planning
Operations financial analytics capability

The estimated base salary for this position is $80,000 to $110,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based on market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
