Turnarounds Technical Support Engineer - The Netherlands

Zeeco is seeking a hands‑on Turnarounds Technical Support Engineer to support turnaround (TAR) projects across the Benelux region and wider EMEA. Based out of our Netherlands facility, this role requires a practical, experienced individual with the flexibility to travel and work in demanding site environments.

As our new Turnarounds Supervisor, you’ll be the driving force behind Zeeco’s Turnaround and Service operations essentially across the Benelux region and other projects across EMEA. You’ll lead field projects from planning to completion, ensuring every detail—from manpower to documentation is executed flawlessly. You’ll be hands‑on, customer‑facing, and results‑driven.

Key responsibilities

Coordinate, plan and lead turnaround projects in an onsite environment.

Project manage service and parts requirements for turnaround projects.

Coordinate and manage Zeeco personnel and third‑party contractors on site.

Take responsibility and uphold HSE standards on site.

Support on site surveys and preliminary visits as required.

Review specific project contractual requirements and ensure Zeeco deliver in full to the client.

Produce documentation, written reports, inspection reports and RAMS.

Work with other groups within Zeeco (such as QC, Projects & Drafting).

Develop our business, predominantly in the Benelux region.

Maintaining and carrying out preliminary works on our equipment in between projects.

Skills and experience required

Qualification in relevant Engineering discipline.

Experience working on refineries and chemical plants.

Mechanical experience – understanding of mechanical practices and good working practices for refineries and chemical plants.

Experience in a customer facing environment.

Experience with turnarounds, shutdowns and maintenance works (Mechanical or Electrical).

Previous experience working on fired equipment (all O.E.M) (advantageous).

Welding and fabrication knowledge (advantageous)

Proven leadership in field execution and turnaround environments

Ability to interpret complex mechanical drawings and installations

Strong problem‑solving mindset with a bias for action

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Commercial awareness and customer‑centric approach

Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

Eager to learn from senior engineers and grow within a dynamic team

Self‑motivated, flexible, and resilient under pressure.

Other requirements

Willingness to travel in the EMEA Region (Europe, Middle East & Africa), sometimes at short notice.

Willingness to travel for prolonged periods of time.

Valid driving licence (essential), and forklift licence (advantageous).

Must be fluent in Dutch and English languages.
