
Support Engineer - The Netherlands

We are seeking a hands‑on Support Engineer / Welder Fabricator to support turnaround (TAR) projects across the Benelux region and wider EMEA. Based out of our Netherlands facility, this role requires a practical, experienced individual with strong welding and fabrication capability, combined with the flexibility to travel and work in demanding site environments.
As our new Support Engineer, you will play a key role in executing turnaround projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, while also supporting business growth and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key responsibilities
Supporting turnaround projects in an onsite environment.
Supporting mechanical maintenance tasks on fabricated steel assemblies (including pipework).
Develop business, predominantly in the Benelux region.
Take responsibility and uphold HSE standards on site.
Support on site surveys and preliminary visits as required.
Review specific project contractual requirements and ensure Zeeco delivers in full to the client.
Produce documentation, written reports, inspection reports and RAMS.
Work with other groups within Zeeco (such as QC, Projects & Drafting).
Develop our business, predominantly in the Benelux region.
Maintaining and carrying out preliminary works on our equipment in between projects.
Skills and experience required
Minimum class B (Desirable – class A) proven welding experience in fabricating within sectors such as Oil & Gas, Pipefitting, Pressure Vessel, or similar environments is advantageous.
Experience producing X-Ray quality work.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members and management.
Reliable team player with a solid track record of punctuality and excellent attendance.
Highly organized, efficient, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Assertive with a proactive approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making.
Meticulous and conscientious, focused on maintaining high‑quality standards.
Other requirements
Willingness to travel in the EMEA Region (Europe, Middle East & Africa), sometimes at short notice.
Willingness to travel for prolonged periods of up to 4-6 weeks at a time.
Valid driving licence (essential), and forklift licence (advantageous).
