About the Role
ArKtype is seeking a Producer to lead the execution of the Under the Radar (UTR) festival and year‑round programming. This role oversees production, marketing, logistics, and artist services across a multi‑venue platform that includes performances, convenings, and international work. The Producer works closely with Arktype’s Managing Producer and UTR’s artistic leadership to ensure programs are delivered smoothly, on time, and to a high standard. This role is ideal for a strong, passionate producer dedicated to new work and globally minded initiatives who is both detail‑oriented and adaptable, and who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Festival & Program Production

Lead planning and execution of festival and year‑round programs

Manage staff toward execution of production goals and timelines

Translate artistic plans into production timelines and logistics

Maintain production schedules and key milestones

Lead production meetings and coordinate across teams

Oversee day‑of execution and troubleshoot issues

Self‑Presented Work

Produce 2–4 self‑presented works annually

Manage artist communication, schedules, and logistics

Coordinate venues, technical needs, and rehearsals

International Programming & Artist Services

Coordinate travel, visas, and accommodations for artists

Oversee artist logistics and support throughout the festival

Anticipate and resolve production challenges

Symposium & Convenings

Support planning and execution of the Industry Symposium and Pitch Session

Coordinate logistics, staffing, and scheduling

Oversee event delivery

Logistics & Venue Coordination

Manage multi‑venue scheduling and production needs

Coordinate technical setup and transitions

Oversee hospitality and participant logistics

Budget & Contracts

Manage program budgets and track expenses

Support contracts and ensure deliverables are met

Team Leadership

Supervise Associate Producer and Producing Fellows

Hire and manage seasonal staff

Support team workflow and capacity

Cross‑Team Coordination

Work closely with development, marketing, and public programs teams

Ensure alignment across departments

Systems & Tracking

Maintain production tracking tools and documentation

Support clear communication across teams

Identify opportunities to improve workflows

Qualifications

5–8+ years of experience in producing or production management on a variety of scales

Experience managing complex productions or multi‑program projects logistically and financially

Strong organizational and project management skills

Experience coordinating logistics, schedules, and artist needs

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment

Strong communication and problem‑solving skills

Familiarity with tools such as: Microsoft suite, Google suite, Adobe suite, Dropbox

Preferred Experience

Experience working with international artists and logistics

Experience producing work in non‑traditional or site‑specific spaces

Familiarity with NYC venues and cultural institutions

Experience with festivals or multi‑venue programs
