We are seeking a dedicated Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager to help create the world’s safest work environment. This role offers an opportunity to directly impact associate well‑being while driving operational excellence.
As a WHS Manager, you will be the site’s safety champion, leading the Global WHS Program implementation. You will combine hands‑on safety management with strategic thinking to protect people, manage risks, analyze safety data, conduct risk assessments, implement practical solutions, lead safety compliance efforts, conduct audits, and manage first‑aid and emergency response. Your role bridges safety requirements and operational success, requiring technical expertise, interpersonal skills, and an ability to influence positive change.

Strategic Partnership & Influence – build partnerships with Operations leadership to integrate safety into business decisions.
Recordkeeping & Training – oversee workplace organization and WHS training programs.
Physical Requirements
Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
Stand or walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
Work in environments where the noise level varies.
Work in environments with variable temperatures and weather conditions.
Continuously climb and descend stairs (if applicable).
Maintain effective care delivery in emergencies and assist emergency response.
First Aid, CPR, or AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required; otherwise, certification must be obtained within 3 weeks of the start date.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, or 2+ years of Amazon experience (blue badge/FTE).
3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.
3+ years of increasing people and performance management experience, or 2+ years of Amazon Safety (blue badge/FTE) experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS experience with at least 250 people.
Master’s degree.
Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement.
Experience in a fast‑paced, dynamic organization.
Certified Safety Professional.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders.
Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies.
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem‑solving ability.
