Responsibilities

Lead Global WHS Program implementation and serve as the site’s safety champion.

Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, analyze safety data, and implement practical solutions that protect associates while supporting productivity.

Drive safety initiatives in collaboration with Operations leadership and influence positive change.

Lead safety compliance efforts, perform thorough site audits, and analyze incident trends to target improvements.

Manage first aid program and emergency response capabilities to ensure immediate care is always available.

Transform safety data into actionable insights and engage associates in the safety mission.

Core Impact Areas

Safety Leadership & Innovation – Transform safety culture through leadership and innovative solutions, drive continuous improvement, and leverage technology and data analytics.

Strategic Partnership & Influence – Build partnerships with Operations leadership, use data analysis to influence decision‑making, and oversee record‑keeping, workplace organization, and WHS training programs.

Physical & Travel Requirements

Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.

Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.

Work in an environment where noise level varies and subject to variable temperatures and weather.

Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs).

Maintain effective care delivery in emergencies and assist emergency response at the site.

Travel 50‑70% of the time and work various shifts.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.

3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations.

3+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management, or 2+ years of Amazon Safety (blue badge/FTE) experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Distribution Center or manufacturing safety experience with a mix of exempt and non‑exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people.

Master’s degree.

Experience in a fast‑paced, changing/growing organization.

Certified Safety Professional.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort collaborating with site leaders.

Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies.

Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem‑solving ability.

Ability to adapt well to fast‑paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and the use of pivot tables and development of charts and graphics.

Ability to manage multiple sites remotely.

Salary
Base salary range: $63,000 – $94,600 annually.
