As a Licensed Funeral Director at Vertin, you guide individuals and families through one of life's most profound transitions. This is more than a profession — it is a calling. You will lead families with clarity and care, provide personalized guidance, and uphold the highest standards of professional practice — all while becoming a meaningful presence in your community.
Lead families through arrangement conferences with care, clarity, and personalized guidance to create meaningful, fitting services
Supervise and care for the deceased with full adherence to regulatory requirements and professional standards
Perform preparation services including removal and transfer, embalming, cosmetology, hairstyling, dressing, and casketing
Maintain accurate, timely documentation supporting compliance and operational excellence across funeral services and cremations
Support trade work for deaths occurring at surrounding area locations within the Vertin network
Assist families with insurance assignments, follow-up paperwork, and timely delivery of cards, memorabilia, and keepsakes
Build meaningful community relationships through involvement in local organizations and charitable events
Share preneed referrals with preplanning specialists and support ongoing family connections
Manage merchandise inventory, supplies, and assist with facility and vehicle maintenance
Utilize local and digital marketing to educate and engage your community
Degree from an accredited Mortuary Science Program, plus any additional college credits required in your applicable state
Must be able to obtain MN licensure
Successful completion of the National Board Examination
Completed internship with applicable State Board Examination passed
Valid Funeral Director and/or Embalmer State Licensure
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
Salary Range $70,000 - $80,000
