
Sanitation Technician 3rd Shift

Overview
Fresh Express
is currently seeking an experienced Sanitation Technician to join the Fresh Team!
The Sanitation Technician is responsible for assuring that the plant is appropriately cleaned to satisfy regulatory and company requirements (overall sanitation of the plant), including but not limiting to conveyor belts, dryer barrels, water shaker, and other metal equipment. The sanitation technician operates foamier and pressure washer, sweeps floors, shoveling garbage into garbage cans, and removing garbage. Employee also hand-scrubs equipment and walls as required. He/she cleans drains and traps, sanitizes drains according to cleaning schedule and assures that standing water is minimized. Sequentially, the following tasks will be performed and followed through:
Responsibilities
Air blow excess product
Pre-rinse equipment
Foam equipment
Post rinse & sanitize equipment
Employee follows all written sanitation procedures and develops a proactive approach to solving problems related to cleaning and sanitizing.
Minimum qualifications
Experience working within a Food Processing, or Food Manufacturing Cold environment.
Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
6-day work schedule with days off as needed or scheduled.
Required skills
Mechanically inclined as the sanitation tech will disassemble and reassemble heavy equipment.
Physically capable as it requires lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, bending, stooping, and kneeling.
Able to lift 50 lbs. throughout the shift.
Identify and properly use (when required) hazardous chemical and material in house as trained.
Must have the ability to make decisions and think independently.
Fast-paced, wet, cold, noisy environment of 34-36 degrees Fahrenheit.
Equipment and safety
Employee is responsible for maintaining sanitary equipment and supplies in a neat and orderly manner in chemical cage. Use chemical and hazardous materials with caution and always follow instructions before and during use. Employee must properly hang all hoses after usage.
