Job Description
SUMMARY
Coordinates Virginia Tiered Systems of Support (VTSS) structures and practices, resulting in equitable and improved academic, behavioral, and social emotional outcomes for all, by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with and coach teachers/school leaders with the implementation of VTSS.
Provide intervention services, with a priority focus on math, to students.
Serve as school Student Strategies/504 Coordinator.
Assist in monitoring outcomes related to fidelity to interventions and the VTSS process.
Coordinate and participate in administration of academic assessments (Universal, diagnostic, etc.).
Coordinate the creation of student goals, monitoring student progress, and data collection, to inform data-driven decision making.
Coordinate and organize data collection and presentation for various meetings.
Support team/department meetings focused on data analysis and evidence-based instructional practices.
Collaborate with the Departments of Instruction and Student Services.
Attend and provide professional development.
Support the School Testing Coordinator as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university; Masters degree preferred.
Three years successful teaching experience.
Demonstrates instructional coaching skills.
Demonstrates ability to work collaboratively with administrators, teachers, parents and students.
Demonstrates ability to work collaboratively with Families and Community Partnerships.
Outstanding skills related to technology - utilize Google Workspace and other division-supported digital applications appropriately and efficiently. This includes proficiency in the use and application of Infinite Campus and Canvas.
CERTIFICATION LICENSE
Valid Virginia Teaching License
Certified in Elementary and/or Special Education
EVALUATION
Performance for this job will be evaluated in accordance with school board policy and administrative regulations on evaluation of personnel.
