
Tax Accountant – Payroll & Overtime Compliance (OBBBA)

seeking a detail-oriented
Tax Accountant
to support the tracking and reporting of overtime under the
One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA)
for Police and Fire departments. This role will work closely with Payroll and IT teams to establish accurate processes for overtime tracking and compliance reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and track
employee overtime data
in compliance with OBBBA requirements
Collaborate with
Payroll and IT teams
to design and implement tracking processes
Analyze and report overtime by
employee and by week
Ensure accuracy and compliance in all
financial and payroll reporting
Support development of systems or tools to improve
data tracking and reporting efficiency
Assist with documentation and reporting for
audit and compliance purposes
Provide insights and recommendations to improve
payroll tracking processes
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting or related financial field
5+ years of experience
in accounting and/or payroll
Knowledge of the
One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA)
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in
public sector or government environments
Familiarity with
payroll systems and data reporting tools
Experience working with
Police/Fire department payroll processes
