Systems Engineer (Combat Systems DevSecOps) – Early Career
Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems seeks a full‑time Systems Engineer to develop algorithmic design, data analysis, requirements development, modeling and simulation, and software integration and test. The role involves creating solutions for mathematical and physics‑based problems and converting customer or product requirements into a comprehensive system solution that balances technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Responsibilities
• Algorithmic design, data analysis, and requirements development.
• Modeling and simulation of combat systems.
• Software integration and test of systems components.
• Conversion of requirements into system solutions under technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related technical field.

Familiarity with software engineering and development.

Experience with Unix/Linux, C++, Java, and/or Python.

Familiarity with MATLAB and/or Python.

US citizenship and ability to obtain a government security clearance.

Desired Skills

Demonstrated interest and ability to learn new tools and technologies rapidly.

Research skills to identify technical challenges and provide effective solutions.

Experience with software requirements.

Effective teamwork and independent work capability.

Security Clearance
This position requires a US citizen and a government security clearance at the Secret level.

Salary
The annual base salary ranges from $55,300 to $106,000 for positions located in Colorado or Washington. Compensation is based on scope, responsibilities, experience, education, key skills, market, and business considerations.

Employment Details

Location: Colorado or Washington.

Type: Full‑time, onsite at a Lockheed Martin facility.

Shift: First shift.

Schedule: Four 10‑hour days per week, three days off.

Remote work: Not applicable.

Relocation: Possible.
