Summary
The R&D Packaging Technician will conduct packaging tests, manage test data using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), and operate automated equipment. The Technician works under limited supervision assisting engineers, scientists, and/or teams in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment.
What You Will Do
Execute routine and non‑routine laboratory tests that require fine motor skills, accurate hand/eye coordination, and careful handling of components and equipment
Test prototypes per engineering instructions and document test results
Use a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to plan, execute, and record test results
Develop proficiency in LIMS to ensure seamless electronic test management
Communicate assignment status to project engineers
Train others in new product processes and procedures
Build quality into all aspects of work by maintaining compliance in all quality requirements
Ensure product is tested to the most current/validated method/process and specification and documentation is correctly completed per GLP & QS requirements as applicable.
What You Need
Preferred: 2+ years of technical work experience in medical device development
Experience operating automated equipment or robotic systems
Computer proficiency with ability to learn complex systems
Experience with LIMS
Two-year Technical Degree (i.e., AA, Certificate) or equivalent experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Pay rate will not be below any applicable local minimum wage rates.
$28.06 - $37.96 USD Hourly
