Staff Accountant

Principal Duties/Responsibilities
Perform various month‑end close functions, including journal entries.
Lead the purchase and disposal of fixed assets, including journal entries and analysis.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including G&A, intercompany processes, and WIP.
Execute various projects as required.
Answer profit and loss questions.
Interpret the meaning of accounting records, reports, and statements.
Document business transactions for audit requirements.
Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statements, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs) & Competencies
Essential KSAs
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and two years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong communication and organization skills with analytical abilities.
Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and Microsoft Office suite.
Detail‑oriented and internally focused on customer service.
Desirable KSAs
CPA or CMA certification.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this role, the employee will regularly stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee will also use a telephone with headset for verbal troubleshooting, frequently use a keyboard and computer to document calls, and occasionally use other office equipment. The employee may be required to lift or move more than 30 pounds, sit for long periods, and maintain close and color vision. Work is typically performed in a moderately noisy office environment.
