Financial Analyst

SUMMARY
The Financial Analyst supports the SG&A and Operations groups to identify opportunities for improvement of financial results. This position reports directly to the Business Development Associate and has no supervisory responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with Daily & Monthly Sales Reporting.
Support pricing and customer profitability analysis.
Assist with daily variance reporting (direct labor, purchase price, inventory adjustments, and other manufacturing variances).
Perform various month end reports and accruals.
Assist with Accounts Payable as assigned.
Assists with fixed assets and depreciation.
Assist auditors for year-end analysis as required.
Support budget preparation and reforecast of current year plan.
Support State Tax Reporting.
Required to attend initial and annual training for GMP, HACCP, SQF and Food Defense.
Must be able to successfully demonstrate knowledge to the above topics and adherence to current Good Manufacturing practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in accounting or a related field from a four-year college or university.
Experience in Consumer Products Manufacturing is preferred.
Possess the ability to learn other application software, excellent Excel and Query skill sets, and a solid conceptual understanding of A/P, Procurement, and Inventory Management
COMPUTER SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and expert level in Excel. Prior experience with Sage 100 preferred. Ability to learn other applications software essential to performing job tasks.
