Verovian Nursing Agency invites applications for a Registered Nurse in the Behavioral Health unit in Austin, Texas. The RN will oversee the delivery of mental health services, ensuring high standards of patient care and therapeutic interventions.
Responsibilities
Provide nursing care to patients with behavioral health issues, including assessments, interventions, and medication administration.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Monitor patients for changes in behavior, mental status, and physical health, and respond appropriately.
Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field preferred.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in behavioral health or psychiatric nursing.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with genuine compassion for patients in distress.
