Assistant Director of Finance
Job Number: HOT0CID4 | Location: Beach House Fort Lauderdale, a Hilton Resort, 505 N. Ft. Lauderdale Beach Blvd., Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33304.

Shift Pattern:

Monday through Friday, with weekend availability when needed.

Responsibilities

Assist in direction and administration of all financial operations to deliver outstanding guest service and profitability.

Manage department including special projects, monitor performance, provide supervision, professional development, scheduling, counseling and evaluations; recruit, interview and train team members.

Directly oversee Accounts Receivable, Credit and Night Audit functions.

Prepare budget and maintain spending controls to ensure budgetary limits are met.

Prepare annual depreciation schedules for furniture, equipment, building supplies, revisions and alterations.

Review and approve all ledger account reconciliations including bank statements, assets liabilities and credit cards.

Coordinate and review monthly financial statements for accuracy and monitor coding of cash receipts.

Assist Director with internal daily audits of cash deposits, transfers and preparation for and monitoring of the capital budget.

Prepare financial reports, utilities and telephone accruals, monitor inventory records and ensure compliance with billing and credit standards.

Review and approve tax returns to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

Monitor, approve and prepare daily payroll accounts and issue all paychecks.

Qualifications

5+ years progressive accounting experience within a hotel or resort environment.

Proficiency with general ledger entries, account reconciliations, AP, AR, and payroll.

Excellent proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Knowledge of Unifocus and/or OnQ preferred.

Strong analytical and communication skills.
