Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic
A clear leader in specialty underground construction, Schnabel is seeking a shop and field heavy equipment mechanic. The role supports our equipment yards and field personnel with repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment, including small equipment such as skid steers, boom lifts, rough terrain forklifts, mini excavators, and more. The position also covers tieback drills and vertical drill rigs. Welding will be a necessity for this position.
Perform repairs and maintenance on all heavy equipment.
Repair small equipment such as skid steers, boom lifts, rough terrain forklifts, and mini excavators.
Weld components as required.
Support field personnel in maintaining equipment safety and readiness.
Desire to work in a team atmosphere.
Energetic with a positive attitude.
Basic mechanical skills.

Must be able to work an 8–10 hour shift.

Job Title: Pile Driver
Schnabel is looking for a Pile Driver to assist with the building of specialty underground structures. The role involves installing piles, lagging, walers, braces, and other structural supports for deep excavations, and ensuring the job is run safely and profitably.
Install piles, lagging, walers, braces, and more.
Follow and be held accountable for all Schnabel’s and OSHA’s safety regulations.
Operate welding equipment and surveying instruments safely.
Clean and maintain all assigned equipment.
Work closely with site leadership to meet schedules and minimize costs.
Responsible for layout and site organization.
Ability to read and interpret plans and schematics.
Minimum of 2 years of documented experience in a pile driving role.
D1.1 certified or the ability to obtain the certificate after a weld test.
Ability to lift and carry 80 pounds of materials when necessary.
Local and regional travel as required.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Job Title: Geotechnical Drill Operator
Schnabel seeks a Geotechnical Drill Operator with experience operating tieback and micro‑pile drills, and preferably vertical drill rigs. The operator will work with the project manager and site supervisor to install tieback anchors, soldier beams, and micropiles.
Responsible for safe and proper operation of drill rigs and associated equipment.
Follow all Schnabel’s safety regulations.
Complete inspection and maintenance logs and documentation as required.
Clean drill rigs, trucks, and equipment.
Work closely with site leadership to meet schedule and budget goals.
Always wear appropriate PPE as assigned by the site supervisor.
Travel with crews within a regional area.
Proven ability to operate mentioned equipment safely and proficiently.
Minimum of 2 years of documented experience operating drill rigs.
High level of focus in a busy, noisy construction environment.
Current certification for vertical and/or tieback drill rig or willingness to obtain certification.
Ability to lift and carry 80 pounds of materials over rough terrain.
Regional travel and ability to stay out of town frequently.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Driver’s license and a safe driving record – preferable with CDL.

The Project Foreman or Superintendent will coordinate and direct crews to ensure successful installation of geostructural solutions on time and under budget, while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Plan, organize, staff, direct, coordinate, and control the construction of a project to ensure safe completion within budget and schedule.
Ensure that the work is built productively in accordance with plans and specifications.
Partner with the safety department to maintain a safe worksite that complies with OSHA requirements and Schnabel safety policies.
Ensure each worker knows their job and receives support from leadership.
Develop training opportunities for engaged and responsible employees.
Ensure equipment on site is well maintained, available, and clean.
Prepare onsite documentation, including daily reports and safety records.
Communicate with the client and project manager to navigate challenges during active construction.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a field supervisory role with heavy preference for geotechnical or geostructural experience.
Ability to travel and stay local to the project site.
Safety oriented with working knowledge of OSHA policy.
Computer literate and comfortable with Microsoft Office products.
Able to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
