We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Engineer I to join our team at K&A Engineering in Oakbrook, IL. Responsibilities
Perform Overhead and Underground distribution design for residential and commercial customers on 1 and 3 phase lines
Create and implement medium and long-term plans for the distribution system, considering load relief, capacity, asset management, and the integration of large-scale distributed energy resources (DER).
Performing pole loading analysis using Pole Foreman based on the ComEd C-Standards and Design in TED GIS based on the job scope.
Ordering Bill of Materials in Asset Suite 8 (AS8).
Generating Joint Work Agreement (JWA) and creating Real Estate Engagement Form (REEF) based on the job scope.
Participates in department planning, field/site walkdowns, and attend meetings/conference calls, when required.
Performs assignments while acting independently and manage multi-projects at the same time.
Provide engineer judgments based on copious research and study of applicable design and construction standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
Detailed Oriented
Knowledge in the following software’s T.E.D, Asset Suite, Cedis, CDOT
Knowledge of engineering designs, principles, and practices
Two or more years of professional engineering experience
Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
Provide input for engineering workflow and Quality Assurance & Quality Check (QA/QC) process when required.
Experience using AutoCAD and/or Bentley MicroStation
Knowledge and ability to apply problem solving approaches and engineering theory.
Detailed knowledge of applicable Design and Construction standards, codes methods, and practices unique to areas of expertise.
Ability to apply advanced engineering principles to identify and resolve complex issues.
Pay Range
$70,000-110,000/year
