Job Description
6.0-6.5 hours/day (Monday - Thursday)
The Food & Nutrition Worker, under limited supervision, prepares attractive and nutritious meals and dining environment for students and district staff.
Maintains the highest possible standards of safety, efficiency and cleanliness in the kitchen.
Responsible for cleaning and sanitation of dishes & equipment, kitchen workspace, serving line area, and cafeteria.
Qualifications
Knowledge of supervising and instructing kitchen personnel in safe, proper, and efficient use of equipment.
Knowledge of School Lunch Program and Arizona Department of Education requirements for Food Service.
Determines standardized district meals for age requirements.
Assist with accounts payable and receivable.
Maintain accurate production records.
Maintain approved standards of health, sanitation & safety requirements.
Prepare timely reports.
Regional travel is required.
MUST HAVE FOOD HANDLER'S PERMIT.
Pass a background clearance and fingerprint check.
Valid Arizona Driver’s License may be required for some positions.
Education & Experience
Experience in food preparation required.
Ability to operate kitchen equipment required.
Excellent math skills.
Ability to read and communicate in English.
Valid Arizona driver’s license required.
Work Basis
9 months
Position Type: Part-Time
Salary: $16 to $16.50 Per Hour
