School Nutrition Assistant - Kensington Elementary School
Full time position with benefits. 3‑month learning/proficiency period.
Job Summary
Active role serving children and faculty. Lift up to 50 pounds, be on feet for a good part of the shift. Maintain kitchen and dining area to health department regulations, sweep, mop, take out trash.
Responsibilities
Assist in preparing and serving wholesome, nutritious food to students, faculty and parents.
Maintain cleanliness and health standards in kitchen and dining area.
Operate cafeteria equipment and the cash register.
Support a fast‑paced, lively and welcoming environment.
Qualifications
Love children and be responsible and dependable.
Understand and deliver quality food and service.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on feet for a significant portion of the shift.
Internal applicants: know how to cashier and scored 3.0 or higher on last evaluation.
External applicants: must be proficiently cashier within 30 days of being hired.
Working Conditions
UCPS School Nutrition Services has locations in Elementary, Middle and High Schools. Fast‑paced, lively, welcoming atmosphere focusing on safety, quality and service.
