
Pool & Beach Server Captain

The Pool Captain plays a key leadership role in delivering exceptional food and beverage service within the pool and beach areas at Edgewood Tahoe Resort. This position is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring seamless guest experiences, and upholding the highest standards of hospitality, presentation, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Assistant Pool Manager with coordinating all pool and beach food & beverage service operations, ensuring efficiency, elegance, and consistency with Forbes standards.
Lead, train, and motivate pool servers, attendants, and support staff to deliver anticipatory, personalized service.
Act as a visible floor leader, proactively engaging with guests to anticipate needs and resolve concerns promptly and graciously.
Collaborate with Food & Beverage and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
Act as the primary point of contact for guests in the pool and beach areas, handling requests, resolving concerns, and creating memorable experiences.
Monitor service flow, staffing levels, and section assignments to maintain optimal coverage and responsiveness.
Oversee cleanliness, organization, and overall ambiance of pool and beach areas, ensuring a pristine environment at all times
Support special events, VIP service, and private cabana experiences as required
Perform other related duties as assigned to support the success of the team and business.
Qualifications and Skills
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to remain poised and professional in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Knowledge of food, wine, cocktails, and poolside/beachside service etiquette
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations (ServSafe certification is a plus).
Physical Requirements
Must be able to safely lift, move, and stack items weighing up to 40 lbs.
Able to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
