
Civil Design Engineer - Water Wastewater

What you’ll do
Design water and wastewater infrastructure systems including pipelines, treatment plants, storage tanks, and pump stations
Prepare construction drawings, technical specifications, and engineering reports for municipal projects
Perform hydraulic modeling and system analysis using software such as WaterCAD, Innovyze, or similar tools
Support permitting efforts and coordinate with regulatory agencies
Participate in construction administration activities including site visits and coordination with contractors
Conduct client meetings and presentations, providing technical insight and project updates
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
Manage project tasks to meet scope, schedule, and quality goals
What you bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Biosystems Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license
5+ years of experience working with municipal water and wastewater clients
Experience in planning, design, permitting, and construction administration of infrastructure projects
Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D; experience with hydraulic modeling software preferred
Strong understanding of hydraulic analysis and design principles
In-depth knowledge of utility construction methods, materials, and water/wastewater treatment technologies
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to lead client presentations
Proven ability to manage multiple assignments and appropriately prioritize workflow
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with project financial tracking tools preferred
Client service‑oriented mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

On‑site: Monday–Thursday 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; Friday 7:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
